Accidental encounter in Krakow, Poland

Hi,

I'll write in english, even though I know that polish, slovak and czech languages are quite similar, but still I have sometimes a lot of difficulties understanding especially czech...Anyway - yesterday, when I was driving my 205 gti to meet other Krakow's 205 enthusiasts, I encountered a very nice 205 gti with a foreign number plate. I slowed down to see who that could be and the people inside started weavin' to me:) I stopped and it turned out that they were lookin' for a music club "Kwadrat". I led the way and they followed me to the place. Upon arrival we took some pictures: ( two more 205s joined the group by then, but they are hardly visible on the photos)

It's a shame that the concert had already started and they couldn't join us on our meeting that was taking place in the same time:

I hope we'll have an opportunity to meet again some time. We're planning a trip to Prague in August (probably 4-8 ), expecting over 20 cars from all over Poland. I'll put some more details later, so maybe you'll be able to join us and break some record in the number of 205's in one place:)

hey, i like the idea! we are going to have some meeting of czech-slovak 205 club in august as usual, so we can adapt to your trip to CZ. you should give us more information as soon as possible to arrange it.

I certainly will. Maybe even today. I have to gather all the information and I'll start a new topic. Actually our trip is envisioned to last 4 days, of which 2 we are gonna spend in Czech Republic. We want to see as many places in Sudety mountains as possible, and to drive on narrow, winding roads in the mountains, but we'll be close to the border so I think it will be possible for you to join us on our side of the border for two days and then see your side and end the trip in Prague where we could have a nice party in the city. Give me few hours and I'll start a new topic with that idea.

I don't think he told me what his name is, or I forgot - If so, I'm sorry:) He wrote a www address to this page on some shop receipt and gave it to me. That's why I wrote about it here.

As to understanding your language then yes - at least partially. I usually grasp the overall concept, but have problems with some particular phrases. That's why I feel more comfortable writing in english, but If you want to write in czech od slovak - go ahead:)

Last year our trip took place in "Bieszczady mountains", and we were coming back through Slovakia, It's a shame I didn't know about this forum back then. We could have met.

now im home. Im from Martin, its near Zilina (30km). Concert war great and we have met few cool polish people then. :) and like yesterday we have been riding and trying to find way home aproximetly 1hour :D:D but we have seen o lot of KRK :D
